About the course

The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology, is an applied learning course for students who aim to
progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the Applied Psychology sector. The qualification is
equivalent to 1 A level and is designed to be one third of a typical study programme, normally alongside A Levels or other
applied general qualifications at Level 3.

Application of Psychological Approaches, Conducting Psychological Research and Health Psychology.

Year 13 Topics

There will be an additional optional unit designed to support more specialist applied psychology courses in higher education
and to link with relevant occupational areas, this is expected to be a module Criminal and Forensic Psychology (however,
options are yet to be confirmed)
